Morrissey has slammed Beyonce at a recent gig, saying that her handbags are leading to the extinction of the rhino.

Before playing the Smiths’ hit ‘Meat Is Murder’, Morrissey introduced the song by blaming Beyonce’s animal skin handbags for the near extinction of the rhino.

He said, “The rhino is now more or less extinct, and it’s not because of global warming or shrinking habitats. It’s because of Beyonce’s handbags. So, God bless the rhino.”

This isn’t the first time that Beyonce has been criticised for her fondness of animal skin. Beyonce’s bodysuit at the Super Bowl was made out of python, iguana and cow skin and she also recently was spotted wearing custom designed ‘King Bey’ sneakers, which are made from crocodile and anaconda skins, stingray, ostrich and calf hair.

The Isabel Marant wedge sneakers are custom-designed by Perfectly Made Kicks, and Beyonce can often be seen wearing a pair in black.

Drug testing only benefits the testing company. Typical on conservatives to waste time and money trying to stop a fake issue.

You have to love how they pander to the “everyone on welfare is a mooch and a druggie” types in order to get public support for such a wasteful program - that did nothing but line the pockets of the owners of drug testing facilities.

You know what would be really crazy? If the Governor who signed the law that introduced drug screening, founded one of the largest companies in Florida that provides drug screening.

The reason that people—in particular 20-something women—seem to take issue with Swift, it seems, is that they feel she merely whines about boys, which they then construe as being “weak” and “anti-feminist,” since she’s a romantic and falls hard. (Hell, wasn’t Adele’s 21 all about a miserable break-up?) Plus, she dresses conservatively and, with her tousled blond tresses, lipstick, and squinty blue eyes, resembles a grown-up American Girls doll. Oh, and she deals mostly in country music—a genre that’s much maligned by indie snobs.

Unlike her female solo artist contemporaries—the Katy Perrys and Adeles of the world—Swift doesn’t sing about kissing girls and doesn’t chain-smoke or curse. She appears to be, on the surface, a paragon of chastity and virtue. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t a feminist. It’s all really a matter of audience. Swift’s target audience is 10- to 18-year-old girls. She’s a hell of a good role model for that age group. I attended a recent Swift show at the Ed Sullivan Theater in Manhattan and, at her stellar live performance, chops aside, by the looks of things the audience was comprised almost entirely of young, wholesome girls—either in groups, or with a parent in tow. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

She’s playing to her audience…she plays what sells.

BREAKING: A Pennsylvania bill that would have limited welfare benefits for low-income mothers—unless they could prove their newborns were a result of rape—has been withdrawn by the lawmakers who introduced it after a wave of criticism following its announcement.:

“The [bill’s] language was not at all what I requested,” said Republican Representative RoseMarie Swanger in a voicemail message to The Daily Beast. “After all the concerned contacts I got, I’m pulling that and working on something better next year.”

House Bill 2718 would have cut assistance to low-income families supplied by the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families Program, but created an exemption for rape victims and children conceived during rape. The bill would have required women to prove they had reported their rapes to authorities. Critics said this was unrealistic—slightly more than half of all rapes go unreported—but also assumes only rapes that are reported to authorities count as rape.

Swanger told The Daily Beast she decided to yank the bill after a flood of calls from reporters. She had hoped to model the Pennsylvania Bill after a successful law passed in New Jersey that limited welfare funds to families as they had more children.
